On the afternoon of Friday April 23, 2010 TV-CARIB (formerly WTN-TV) officially launched its' local Television Station, TV-CARIB Channel 10 on WTN-Cable. The official opening of TV-CARIB comes on the occasion of the birthday of Mr. Alvin D. Obersi, CEO of mother company Obersi Group of Companies of which TV-CARIB & WTN-CABLE fall under.
Partnership
TV-CARIB formed a partnership with DAAVP of which the owner, Mr. Dennis van Putten, also became Manager of TV-CARIB.

We want to give our locals the opportunity to air their production. Our Island has lots of talent, and our station is a great way to show this off!

Our TV-CARIB Channel is available on St.Maarten, and soon Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba, Saba & Statia. Our programs feature locals from all of these island and cover events that are from all over the Caribbean.

TV-CARIB is a local St.Maarten Television Station, belonging to the Obersi Group of Companies. It is the first TV station to go DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial) in the Caribbean and all of the Americas. It is fully digital and is operated with the latest technology and software. Our studio is very well equiped and meets our high standards.
In St.Maarten, TV-CARIB is being aired on Channel 10 of WTN CABLE.
Outstanding Television
There is no other off air Television Station on ST.Maarten that provides Local News and Local Programming. WTN CABLE decided to create the Only Local Information Channel in St.Maarten TV-CARIB on Channel 10.
We have six transmitter sites, currently located at locations such as Fort Willem Hill, Cole Bay Hill, Nacked Boy Hill and Point Blanche. With this system configuration, we have 90% island coverage, not only inland, but also in the surrounding waters such as Simpson Bay Lagoon, thus perfect to cater to our Yachting Industry!
